Wonders & Worries serves children ages 2 to 18 who have a parent or caregiver with a serious illness. We work with children and their families to provide an age-appropriate understanding of the illness, its treatment and side effects, and to help children and teens cope with the stress and fear related to illness in the family. At Wonders & Worries we partner with parents to support their children. Parents are the experts regarding their children, and our team’s goal is to help children understand and cope positively with a family member’s illness. 

All Wonders & Worries’ services are offered free of charge in English and Spanish. We work with families at any stage of illness, from recent diagnosis, to remission, to reoccurrence. We also offer bereavement support for any family that was a Wonders & Worries client during the illness prior to the loss. All of our services are provided by our child life staff who are specially trained to help children and their families understand and manage stressful experiences related to illness in the family.
