Local Teams, Mpacting Dreams
We support the academic, social and emotional development of young people.
Through interactive classroom performances, after school arts residencies and community-based programs, Creative Action’s team of professional Teaching Artists inspire youth to be creative artists, courageous allies, critical thinkers, and confident leaders in their community.
Learning should be fun, colorful, engaging, hands-on, involve questions and experiential. Education is a dynamic and reciprocal process where everyone, including the teacher, is learning together and ideas and discussion flourish as we collectively develop knowledge.
Creativity is a spark that sets new ideas in motion. The creative arts nurture both critical AND creative thinking–skills that set the stage for innovation. You find inspiration, imagine something, and then create it. Then, others see it, hear it, experience it…and in it they find inspiration, imagine something new, and then create it.
Art is essential to personal development in the 21st Century. The arts require imagination, vision, critical thinking, and determination – and therefore gives us opportunities to shape our own identity, empathize and connect with others, grow a deep interest in the world around us, and contribute to making the world a better place.
