R.O.C.K. provides equine-assisted therapies and activities to children, adults and veterans with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities.

Celebrating 15 years of service to Central Texas, R.O.C.K.’s mission is to improve independence and life skills in partnership with the horse. R.O.C.K. was established in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit provider of equine-assisted therapeutic activities in Central Texas. The organization began as a dream of physical therapist Nancy O'Meara Krenek who continues to serve on the leadership team, serving clients, and assisting in research. Services are provided to over 200 clients annually with the help of a herd of approximately 24 horses, 18 staff members and more than 350 amazing volunteers

Clients range from 2 – 88 years old and see improvement in most aspects of their life; from muscle tone, strength, flexibility, and balance to cognitive, behavioral and emotional improvements. The R.O.C.K. Horses for Heroes program provides services for veterans and active service men and women.

R.O.C.K. programs are currently divided into the following equine-assisted activities: Therapeutic Riding/Sports Riding assists clients to ride to the best of their ability. Educational Programs are offered in partnership with local youth agencies and school districts. The Lynn C Christianson Therapy Clinic offers physical and speech therapy. These activities and therapies utilize the partnership with the horse and related equine activities to achieve a variety of goals including improvement in cognitive, physical, emotional, social, educational and behavioral functioning. R.O.C.K. also serves veterans through the Horses for Heroes program.

Horses are the heart of all R.O.C.K. programs. Horses are carefully screened for health, training and temperament before they are accepted in R.O.C.K.'s programs.
