Generation SERVE provides ongoing opportunities to educate young children about the value of community service while at the same time providing a fun and positive learning experience for the entire family.
Our mission is to engage young children and their families in community service and inspire volunteerism.
Generation SERVE is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that facilitates family volunteering by creating and organizing monthly volunteer opportunities suitable for children as young as 3 years of age.
Through our website, families can view a wide variety of hands-on volunteer opportunities supporting numerous nonprofits/groups and sign up for them directly, making it simple for parents and their children to experience the importance of community service together in a fun and positive learning environment.
Generation SERVE will also work with local businesses to create or enhance employee community service programs with family volunteer opportunities and assist those looking for group volunteer opportunities within the Austin community.
Agencies/groups we partner with support causes such as the homeless, children and families in need, animal welfare, youth development, elderly care, R&D for diseases, and the environment.
Give-Family Volunteering
Families with children as young as 3 years old volunteer together at our family service activities. The volunteer work we organize supports nearly 90 nonprofit organizations.
Grow-Service Learning
Our Service Learning Program pairs education with service, allowing youth to learn about a community need alongside peers and apply what they've learned to a project of their own.
Lead-Youth Leadership
After a summer of leadership training, our middle school and high school youth leaders become activity leads and co-leads for our Family Volunteering activities.
